Position Overview
As a Technical Support Engineer & Account Specialist, your primary mission is to guarantee the uptime, reliability, and deployment success of our advanced GSE charging portfolios. This is a hybrid role tailored for a technically authoritative professional who thrives on resolving complex hardware and firmware challenges, but who also possesses the communication skills to manage client relationships, upsell services, and drive hardware expansion.
Allocation of Effort: 70% On-Site & Remote Technical Support | 20% Technical Sales & Account Management | 10% Regulatory Compliance & Project Documentation.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Technical Support & Field Engineering (70%):
- On-Site Field Operations: Conduct site commissioning, proactive preventative maintenance, and urgent diagnostic field-service interventions at major airport hubs and cargo centers.
- Remote Tier-2 Diagnostics: Serve as the high-authority technical escalation point, utilizing cloud-based asset management and industrial IoT platforms to troubleshoot hardware faults, power conversion anomalies, and firmware bugs.
- Infrastructure Site Surveys: Visit prospective and existing clients to perform detailed physical and electrical site evaluations, taking precise infrastructure notes, electrical measurements, and photographs to ensure hardware compatibility.
- Uptime Excellence: Work directly with airline engineering teams and GSE handlers to resolve complex electrical issues swiftly, minimizing fleet downtime in high-stakes operational environments.
Technical Sales & Account Management (20%):
- Account Expansion & Consultative Sales: Build trusted relationships with existing accounts during support interactions, identifying operational pain points to pitch and upsell upgraded hardware, maintenance SLAs, or scalable power modules.
- Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering: Navigate prospective clients through technical requirements, helping them select the exact charging architectures to meet their application needs with minimal upfront capital investment.
- Pipeline Support: Assist in managing the technical sales pipeline, validating technical proposals, and ensuring client records and support tickets are accurately maintained within the CRM.
Project Execution & Compliance (10%)
- End-to-End Contract Execution: Oversee the technical onboarding of new clients, coordinating the necessary regulatory paperwork, utility compliance tracking, and technical documentation required to finalize deployments.
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
- Strong Technical Background: 5+ years of experience in hands-on field engineering, industrial electrical troubleshooting, or technical support for high-power electronics (e.g., heavy-duty EVSE, industrial power conversion, or airport GSE).
- Microcontroller-based hardware and software troubleshooting, CAN communication protocol, battery management systems, lead acid and lithium battery charging and working with various industrial equipment
- Ability to diagnose faults and efficiently rectify with minimal support. Onsite training at our US HQ will be provided to ensure you have subject matter expertise.
- Commercial Acumen: Prior experience or a strong natural aptitude for B2B sales, account management, or client relations. Ability to confidently discuss ROI, quote hardware upgrades, and close service agreements.
- High Autonomy: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex electrical faults on the airport tarmac or remotely with minimal supervision.
- Mobility: Ready and willing to travel for on-site emergency troubleshooting, site audits, and product commissioning.
